Many people charge ahead and never really check out a company or it’s owners. Be sure to ask the following questions when talking to any vending machine company:

  1. How long have you been selling the machine you are currently offering?
  2. What are the names of the owners of your company and what other vending companies have they owned in the past?
  3. Have the owners of your company ever had any legal problems in the past in regard to their vending companies?
  4. Are you the manufacturer or a middle man?
  5. Do you offer a variety of machines so I can tailor my route?

THINK BEFORE YOU BUY A CHEAP MACHINE! Cheap Price=Cheap Parts! Many of the so called “Vending Super-Sites and Super-Stores” are advertising for machines in a seemingly low price range. Most of these guys work out of their home and the machines come with a 6 month - 1 year warranty. The warranty is from the manufacturer, not from the guy you are buying them from.

Price is a one time thing.  Cost is a lifetime investment.  You want a reliable machine!  Save time and keep locations happy.

Always use your credit cards, if you have them, to purchase machines and then you have “credit card protection” through your bank.  AdvantEdge prefers credit card payments, and is able to accept other types of payments.

Some companies will also give you the names of “locators” to call. Some of these locators sound pretty good on the phone because they want your business. They will make you all kinds of great promises. Check out the locating companies with the Better Business Bureau in the cities where they are located.

“Coin Shooter Machines”, “Coin Shooting Machines”, and “Table Top Candy/Shooting Machines” are not legal in some states and are considered gambling. 

Some companies call them “Amusement” or “Redemption” or “Skill Games”. Contact your Attorney General’s Office and get the facts. Machines like this could be illegal now or in the future by your state.

If uncertain, purchase one machine.  See the quality for yourself.  A company that is confident in their machine will be up for the challenge!

Do you have the option of a machine that can vend toy capsules and gumballs? This is a huge multi-million dollar market that you could be missing! Many toy capsules only cost 1-2 cents each and this is cheaper than candy!
